Nilsu Alanyalı

Nilsu Alanyali is a contemporary artist who lives in Switzerland. She focuses on the notion of time, inquiries of phenomenology as a field, and the reality/illusion of existence in her works. Leaving subjectivity aside, she aims to question what a thing is in itself and also how unique perceptions are formed in the human mind through different cognitive processes. Alanyali has taken a step into mirror making with the Gaze Into Abyss Series.  Each of these mirrors, whose production technique dates back to ancient times and is made with an ancient method using chemical compounds containing silver, has a unique form.
