Mummu Jewelry

Mummu Jewelry Design Workshop was founded in Istanbul Moda by graphic designer Levent Özkendirci and architect Özlem Berber with our passion for craftsmanship, design and jewelry. In our workshop, we create designs that make you feel the nature of the material by using basic techniques. We love playing with materials and improvising! Hammer blows, traces of fire, textures engraved on metal... All these add a brutalist and ancient character to our designs. The name of our brand, Mummu, comes from Sumerian mythology. Mummu is one of the symbols of creation and craftsmanship; it also represents craftsmanship and the essence of design. We try to reflect the spirit of this name in our designs. The regulars of these special designs are free women and men who seek original jewelry, love the unique aura of each handmade work, and know how to create their own style... We hope to continue our journey with the support of their beautiful comments, because designing and producing makes us feel free... We also have a beautiful memory that we want to share with you. The necklace worn by Princess Shuri in Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther II: Wakanda Forever,” which will be released in 2022, and featured on the film’s poster, was our design. Moreover, Ruth E. Carter won an Oscar for Best Costume Design for her costume designs in this film. It was an incredible source of pride for us to be involved in this project, where the costume and jewelry designs were selected with great care.
