Factory Of Us was founded in Türkiye, establishing its first office in Istanbul in 2023 and its initial workshop in Çanakkale in 2024. The foundations of the brand were laid based on Betül Karaca's 2018 master's thesis, titled "Designer Consciousness in Sustainable Furniture Production." Her research concluded that it is possible to manufacture furniture using a single raw material that is 100% recyclable with the help of 3D printing technology. The mission of Factory of Us is to reduce carbon emissions originating from the furniture industry by 90%. In doing so, the company aims to enable the creation of organic forms, give designers the freedom to explore innovative possibilities, and become a pioneer both in Türkiye and globally. Furthermore, the brand seeks to contribute to the development of production technologies necessary for future colonies on Mars. By supporting local machine production, Factory of Us played a key role in the creation of the first large-scale 3D printer in Turkey. It is also actively forming partnerships to promote the production of local biocomposite materials. Today, Factory of Us serves its first clients—designing unique, high-end furniture for architects, artists, hotels, and institutions. With every sale, the company plants a tree, striving to leave a better world for future generations.
