Siirt Great Mosque has gained importance with its architecture showing tile and brickwork. The pulpit of the mosque, which was built in the Kundekari technique, was removed to the Ankara Ethnography Museum in 1933. Kundekari is the technique of interlacing small wooden tables and profiled laths used in the construction of items such as lecterns and pulpit tables or important doors, windows, cabinet doors, to form a geometric decoration. The places where it is most used are door wings, window covers, sermon pulpits and especially pulpit transoms. The Seljuk was inspired by the pulpit and minaret of the Great Mosque of Siirt.
