How to Play?
The game is played on the wall.
Board and Pieces:
Chess is played on an 8x8 square board. The board consists of 64 squares alternately colored in white and black.
There are 32 pieces in total, 16 for each player. Each player has one king, one queen, two rooks, two knights, two bishops, and eight pawns.
Setup:
Place the board between you and your opponent so that each player has a white square in the bottom right corner.
Arrange the pieces on the board as follows:
The rooks go in the corners.
The knights are placed next to the rooks.
The bishops are placed next to the knights.
The queen is placed on the remaining square of her color.
The king is placed on the remaining square next to the queen.
Objectives:
The objective of the game is to checkmate your opponent's king, which means putting the king in a position where it is under attack and cannot escape capture.
Movement of Pieces:
Each piece moves in a specific way:
The king can move one square in any direction.
The queen can move any number of squares in any direction.
The rook can move any number of squares horizontally or vertically.
The bishop can move any number of squares diagonally.
The knight moves in an L-shape: two squares in one direction (horizontal or vertical) and then one square in a perpendicular direction.
The pawn can move forward one square, but on its first move, it can also move two squares forward. Pawns capture diagonally.
Gameplay:
Players take turns moving their pieces.
You can capture your opponent's pieces by landing on their square.
Pay attention to protecting your own pieces and creating threats to your opponent's pieces.
Use tactics and strategies to control the center of the board and create favorable positions.
Special Moves:
Castling: This move involves the king and one rook and is used to improve the king's safety.
En passant: This move can be made by a pawn that moves two squares forward from its starting position, allowing the opponent to capture it as if it had only moved one square.
Check and Checkmate:
When a king is under direct attack, it is in check.
If a player cannot make any legal moves to remove their king from check, it is checkmate, and the game is over.
