As
one of Colombia's largest coffee producing regions, Huila is known for the quality of its beans. Coffee farming in the area is almost entirely small-scale, with farmers typically averaging 1.5 hectares of land. These small farms are managed by individual families, which leads to more extensive and intensive cultivation practices and a great deal of labor and flavor in the final product.
These special beans from the Huila region are grown entirely in the sun. From April to September, it is harvested, washed and dried in the sun. It is a bounty choice with an exquisite sweetness, fruits with candied seeds, dates, raisins acidity and a noticeable aroma of dark chocolate.
